The two-year program provides funding and support during their undergraduate years, as well as assistance with expenses related to finding a job, attending school, and researching a career path.

The Tong Chen Scholarships are a program of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) that is available to high school students who demonstrate “significant promise in architecture.” The scholarships are alos available to international students. The scholarship is named after architect Leo C. Tong Chen, AIA, P.E., who was an early advocate of the profession and a visionary when it came to the future of architecture. Chen was known for his bold ideas and creative thinking, which made him stand out from many architects at the time.

The award is intended for students in need of financial assistance to help them attend law school. The award is open to students who are accepted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States. The award is not intended to support students who are using the award to pay for community service or to purchase books for the library. The award is open to students of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The scholarship is funded by an alumnus named Leo Tong Chen, in partnership with the Rewley Fund (formerly Alumni Annual Fund). Mr. Leo Tong Chen is a Saïd Business School alumnus who completed the MBA program in 2001. He was an excellent student. Tong Chen was a young entrepreneur when he joined the MBA program and went on to found dGav Capital, a venture capital investment management firm focusing on new material, new energy, electronic vehicles, environment protection, healthcare, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence sectors.

Scholarship Benefits 

The scholarship program is designed to help students who are financially disadvantaged by providing them with financial assistance, usually in the form of a grant, to help them attend law school. The award is open to students in all U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the United Kingdom. The benefits of the grant include free tuition and fees for four years at an accredited university or college, as well as books and other required course materials.

To be eligible for an Oxford-Leo Tong Chen Scholarship, a student must have: Completed at least one but less than two years of college Attended an accredited school for less than two years Been pronounced “lazzy” by a certified social worker.
