Choosing The Right Test
Two programs are made available under this IELTS Program, which includes IELTS General Training and IELTS academic. You are to choose one based on your purpose of applying for the test.
IELTS Academic: This program is to ensure your English language proficiency is suitable for a particular environment, or work.
IELTS Training: This is to measure your ability to speak English, in a more practical form.
If you are taking the rest for the US or UK immigrant visa, you might need to take both tests.
